Ingredients

1 large egg

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 large apple, diced

1 tbsp butter (for waffle iron)

Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat waffle iron and grease with butter.

2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

3. In another bowl, whisk egg, milk, yogurt, and vanilla.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in apples.

5. Cook batter in waffle iron until golden brown.

6. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for glaze.

7. Drizzle glaze over warm waffle donuts and serve.

Notes

Dice apples small for even cooking.

Do not overmix the batter.
