These BBQ Chicken Coleslaw Wraps are quick, flavorful, and loaded with sweet and smoky BBQ chicken, creamy crunchy slaw, and wrapped in warm tortillas. Perfect for meal prep, summer lunches, or easy weeknight dinners!
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
– 2½ cups cooked shredded or chopped chicken
– ½ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for drizzling)
For the Coleslaw:
– 2 cups shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)
– ½ cup shredded carrots
– ¼ cup mayonnaise
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– ¼ teaspoon celery seed (optional)
– Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Wraps:
– 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
– 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (for toasting)
Optional Toppings:
– Sliced red onions
– Pickles
– Jalapeños
– Extra BBQ sauce
– Shredded cheese
Instructions
1. In a bowl, toss cooked chicken with BBQ sauce. Warm slightly if needed.
2. In a separate bowl, combine cabbage and carrots. In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, vinegar, sugar, celery seed, salt, and pepper. Pour over slaw and toss to combine.
3. Lay tortillas flat and fill each with BBQ chicken and a generous scoop of coleslaw. Add any optional toppings.
4. Roll tightly into a wrap or burrito shape, tucking in the ends.
5. (Optional) Heat a skillet over medium heat with butter or oil. Toast wraps 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
6. Slice in half and serve warm or cold.
Notes
– Use rotisserie chicken for faster prep.
– Toasting the wrap adds texture but is optional.
– Swap mayo for Greek yogurt in the slaw for a lighter version.
– For spicier flavor, use hot BBQ sauce or add jalapeños.
