Description
A gourmet twist on grilled cheese featuring creamy brie, juicy blackberries, and a tangy balsamic glaze, all melted between crispy, golden slices of sourdough bread.
Ingredients
4 slices sourdough bread
4 oz brie cheese, sliced
1/2 cup fresh blackberries or blackberry preserves
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place brie slices on the unbuttered side of two slices.
Add blackberries or preserves over the brie, then drizzle with balsamic glaze.
Top with remaining brie slices if desired, then place the second bread slice on top, buttered side out.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
Grill sandwiches for 3–4 minutes on each side, pressing gently, until golden brown and the brie is melted.
Let cool for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
Notes
Let the brie come to room temperature for easier melting.
You can use balsamic vinegar reduced with a little honey if glaze isn’t available.
Add prosciutto, basil, or nuts for extra flair.
