Description
Flaky, golden puff pastry stuffed with sweet vanilla cream cheese and juicy blueberries, then baked to perfection and dusted with powdered sugar. A fast, crowd-pleasing treat that’s perfect for brunch, dessert, or anytime cravings.
Ingredients
– 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
– 4 oz cream cheese, softened
– 2 tbsp granulated sugar
– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (thawed and drained if using frozen)
– 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
– Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into 4 equal rectangles.
3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Spread 1 tbsp of cream cheese mixture along one side of each pastry rectangle. Top with a few blueberries.
5. Roll tightly from the filled side. Seal the edge and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
6. Brush each roll with beaten egg.
7. Bake for 16–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
Notes
– Do not overfill with cream cheese or blueberries to avoid leaks.
– For extra brightness, add a pinch of lemon zest to the filling.
– These can be assembled ahead of time and frozen before baking.
– To air fry: Cook at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.
