Ingredients
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional garnish)
Steamed white rice, for serving

In a bowl, combine sliced beef, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Whisk together oyster sauce, remaining soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and remaining cornstarch.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining oil to wok and sear beef for 2-3 minutes until browned.
Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return broccoli to wok, pour in sauce, and stir until thickened and well coated.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over steamed white rice.
Notes
Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
Do not overcook broccoli to keep it crisp.
