Description

Cheesy, crunchy, and irresistible, Crispy Broccoli Cheddar Poppers are broccoli florets stuffed with cheddar, breaded, and baked or air-fried until golden.


Ingredients

Scale

3 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Olive oil spray


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (or air fryer to 375°F).

2. Steam broccoli for 2 minutes, then pat dry.

3. Press cheddar into broccoli florets.

4. Dredge florets in flour, dip in egg, and coat in panko.

5. Arrange on baking sheet or air fryer basket, spray with oil.

6. Bake 15–18 minutes (or air fry 10–12 minutes) until golden and crisp.

7. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for best melting.

Don’t overcrowd pan or basket for even crisping.

Add cayenne or chili flakes for spice.
