  • Author: Melissa
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 16 crisps 1x

Description

Crispy, nutty quinoa clusters coated in rich dark chocolate and finished with a pinch of sea salt. A wholesome, gluten-free treat that’s crunchy, satisfying, and naturally indulgent.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup quinoa, rinsed and well-drained

8 ounces dark chocolate (70% or higher), chopped

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)

Pinch of sea salt

Optional: chopped nuts, dried fruit, shredded coconut, or spices

Instructions

1. Toast quinoa in a dry skillet over medium heat until it pops and turns golden, 5–7 minutes. Let cool.

2. Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil in a heatproof bowl until smooth.

3. Stir in toasted quinoa, sea salt, and any optional add-ins.

4. Drop spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and flatten slightly.

5. Chill in the fridge 20–30 minutes until firm.

6. Store in an airtight container and enjoy.

Notes

Make sure quinoa is completely dry before toasting to avoid sogginess.

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.

Customize with nuts, dried fruit, or spices for variety.
