Description

Garbage Bread is a golden, stuffed loaf filled with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and peppers, all wrapped in pizza dough and baked to perfection. Slice and serve for the ultimate party food or cozy family dinner!


Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 (16-ounce) package pizza dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: chopped parsley, sesame seeds, or Parmesan for topping


Instructions

Let pizza dough come to room temperature.

Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.

Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Roll out dough to a 10×16-inch rectangle. Spread beef mixture evenly, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with cheeses.

Roll up tightly from the long side; pinch seam and ends to seal. Place seam-side down on lined baking sheet.

Brush with beaten egg, top with optional garnishes, and cut a few slits on top.

Bake at 400°F for 22–28 minutes, until golden. Cool 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Cool filling before rolling to prevent soggy dough. Customize filling with your favorite meats, cheeses, or veggies. Leftovers keep well in fridge or freezer.
