Crispy, cheesy garlic butter bagel halves baked until golden and bubbly, perfect as a quick snack, appetizer, or party food.
Ingredients
4 plain bagels, halved
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
Spread garlic butter evenly over each bagel half.
Top each bagel half with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra golden cheese, watching closely.
Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
For best results, use freshly shredded mozzarella. You can prepare ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes before baking.
