Golden, buttery, and filled with cheesy garlic broccoli, these soft rolls are a comforting snack, side dish, or appetizer everyone will love.
Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough or puff pastry
1 ½ cups broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian herbs
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Steam broccoli until tender and chop finely.
3. Melt butter in a saucepan; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
4. Roll dough into a rectangle and brush with garlic butter.
5. Sprinkle broccoli, cheeses, herbs, salt, and pepper evenly over dough.
6. Roll into a log, slice into rounds, and place on baking sheet.
7. Brush with egg wash and bake 20–25 minutes until golden.
8. Brush again with garlic butter, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Use puff pastry for flakier rolls or pizza dough for a softer texture. Add cooked bacon or spinach for extra flavor. Best enjoyed fresh but reheat easily.
