Description
A hearty mashup of cheesy lasagna and savory cheeseburger flavors. Layered with beef, ketchup-mustard sauce, cream cheese, and gooey cheddar-mozzarella, this comfort food bake is perfect for family dinners or potlucks.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup ketchup
2 tbsp yellow mustard
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
8–10 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup sour cream or mayonnaise
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
2. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and tomato sauce. Simmer until thickened.
3. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, and half the mozzarella in a bowl.
4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
5. Layer noodles, cheese mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat layers until used.
6. Finish with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella.
7. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
For a bacon cheeseburger twist, add crumbled cooked bacon between layers.
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
