Ingredients
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– Salt and black pepper, to taste
– 6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
– 4 garlic cloves, minced
– 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
– 1 tablespoon olive oil (if needed)
– Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
3. Drain excess bacon grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan. Add olive oil if needed.
4. Sear the chicken in the same skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
5. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
6. Stir in maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
7. Return the chicken and bacon to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

– Bone-in thighs can be used instead of breasts—just adjust cooking time.
