Savor the rich flavors of this Meat Lovers Tortellini, featuring a delightful mix of Italian sausage, ham, bacon, and pepperoni in a creamy sauce. Perfect for a cozy dinner, this dish combines fresh cheese tortellini with a savory blend of meats and a touch of Italian seasoning, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan for an irresistible meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (9 oz) fresh cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup diced pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the fresh cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions (about 3-5 minutes) until they float to the top and are tender.
  3. Drain the tortellini in a colander, reserving about 1/4 cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the diced ham and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Stir in the crumbled bacon and diced pepperoni, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  9. Pour in the can of diced tomatoes (with juices) and stir to combine.
  10. Add the heavy cream, stirring to create a rich sauce.
  11. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  12. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
  13. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, gently folding to coat in the sauce.
  14. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  15. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top, cover with a lid, and cook for 2-3 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  16. Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
  17. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for added flavor and color.
  18. Serve hot, ideally with a side salad or garlic bread.
