Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For frosting:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Green food coloring
For decoration:
Candy eyeballs
Sprinkles
Candy corn or chocolate chips
Small triangle candy or fondant pieces (for fangs)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until fully combined.
Pour batter into pan and spread evenly. Bake for 22–25 minutes. Let cool completely.
For the frosting, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then vanilla and milk. Add green food coloring and mix well.
Cut cooled brownies into 16 squares.
Pipe green frosting onto each brownie in a swirl pattern.
Decorate with candy eyes, sprinkles, candy corn horns, and candy fangs.
Serve immediately or chill until ready to enjoy.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for vibrant frosting without thinning it. For variety, use different piping tips to create unique monster textures. Let brownies cool completely before decorating.
