Description
A spooky and festive Mummy Cheese Ball made with a creamy cheese filling wrapped in crescent roll “bandages,” baked to golden perfection, and decorated with candy eyes for the perfect Halloween appetizer.
Ingredients
16 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce (optional)
1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
2 candy eyes (or small olive slices for edible eyes)
Crackers, pretzels, and vegetables for serving
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire until smooth.
2. Shape mixture into a ball using plastic wrap. Chill for at least 2 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out crescent dough and cut into thin strips.
4. Wrap strips around the cheese ball, leaving space for “eyes.”
5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake 15–20 minutes until golden.
6. Let cool slightly, then press in candy eyes or olive slices.
7. Serve with crackers, pretzels, and veggies.
Notes
Chill cheese ball before wrapping to help it hold shape.
Add eyes after baking to prevent melting.
For spicier flavor, use pepper jack cheese or add jalapeños.
