Description
An elegant appetizer made with toasted baguette slices topped with creamy goat cheese, fresh pear slices, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of herbs.
Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
6 ounces goat cheese, softened
2–3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
Fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs, for garnish
Freshly cracked black pepper, optional
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.
3. Spread goat cheese over each toasted slice.
4. Top with pear slices, fanning them out slightly.
5. Drizzle with honey.
6. Garnish with thyme or rosemary and cracked black pepper. Serve immediately.
Notes
Toast baguette slices in advance to save time.
For extra texture, add toasted nuts such as walnuts or pecans.
Assemble crostini just before serving to keep them crisp.
