Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 green onions, chopped

1 tbsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Salt and pepper to taste

For the glaze:

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tbsp water

Optional garnish:

Chopped green onions

Sesame seeds

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Form into 1 to 1.5 inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until fully cooked.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.

Bring to a simmer and stir in cornstarch mixed with water.

Simmer until thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes.

Add baked meatballs to the glaze and toss to coat.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Use 93 percent lean turkey for best texture.

Double the glaze for extra sauciness.

Air fryer option: cook at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

Make ahead by storing meatballs and glaze separately.
