  • Author: Melissa

Description

Warm Caramel Apple Dump Cake is a cozy dessert made with spiced apples, caramel sauce, cake mix, and butter, baked into a golden crust and best served with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cans apple pie filling

1/2 cup caramel sauce

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Spread apple pie filling evenly across the dish.

Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.

Sprinkle cinnamon on top.

Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the apples and caramel.

Pour melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.

Top with nuts if desired.

Bake for 40–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, try using a spice cake mix instead of yellow cake mix. Fresh apples can be used in place of canned pie filling if sliced thin and tossed with cinnamon, sugar, and cornstarch.
