Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup pink food coloring (or to desired color)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
- Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients, ensuring you have fresh lemons for the best flavor. A citrus juicer is recommended for maximum juice extraction.
- Squeeze the lemons until you have 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds and pulp for a smooth lemonade.
- In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved, which may take a few minutes.
- Once the sugar is dissolved, add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir again to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or water.
- In a large mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy whipping cream. Ensure your mixing bowl and beaters are cold for better whipping.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the heavy cream on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes. Avoid overbeating.
- Once soft peaks form, add in 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Continue to beat on low speed until well combined and thick.
- Gradually add in 1/4 cup of pink food coloring, mixing until you reach your desired shade of pink.
- Gently fold the whipped cream mixture into the pitcher of lemonade using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much.
- Taste the mixture again and adjust sweetness if needed with more sugar or condensed milk, or balance with a splash of lemon juice.
- Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes, preferably clear glasses to showcase the beautiful pink color.
- Pour the whipped pink lemonade over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
- Optionally, top each glass with a dollop of the remaining whipped cream mixture for an indulgent touch.
- Garnish with fresh lemon slices and a sprig of mint for added color and freshness.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sugar based on your sweetness preference.
