Description
Soft and chewy oat bars made with brown sugar, drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter for the perfect sweet snack or dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
For drizzle:
1/2 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons peanut butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Whisk melted butter, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla in another bowl.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until mixed.
Press into prepared pan.
Bake 20–25 minutes until edges are golden.
Cool completely.
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
Drizzle over cooled bars, let set, then cut into squares.
Notes
For gluten-free, use GF oats and flour blend.
Chill bars before slicing for cleaner cuts.
Add chocolate chips or nuts for variety.
